How often should transmission fluid be changed?
It varies a lot by vehicle and how you drive. Your owner's manual gives the interval, and towing or lots of city driving can shorten it. We check the fluid and tell you if it's due.
What colour should transmission fluid be?
Most automatic transmission fluid starts out red and clear. Dark brown fluid or a burnt smell means it's worn out or the transmission needs a closer look.
Does my car have a differential or transfer case?
Rear-wheel drive, 4x4 and most AWD vehicles have at least one differential, and 4x4 and many AWD vehicles have a transfer case. We check what yours has.
How much does a transmission fluid service cost?
